Qualify For a Marijuana Card in California

Medical marijuana has been proven to be an effective treatment for a variety of conditions. Fortunately for California residents, the state is one of several states where medical marijuana can be legally sold. However, you can’t just pop by a dispensary and buy weed. You’ll need a medical marijuana card to legally purchase it.

A California medical marijuana card can only be obtained by a California resident with a valid California I.D. as proof of residency. Other proofs of residency can also be used: passport, out-of-state I.D., and a utility bill, among others. Additionally, you’ll need to be at least 18 years of age or have a parent or guardian with you, if you are below 18.
